About Us

Samara Collective is a worker-owned strategic media and communications firm. We are a democratically-run, 100% remote, national organization. The majority of our diverse membership identifies as women, people of color, and queer.  Together we bring more than seventy years of experience in organizations — ranging from labor unions to political campaigns to nonprofits and small businesses — working on social issues including healthcare, racial justice, voting rights, community-led processes, environmental justice, transportation, the arts, and supporting other worker cooperatives.

Digital Analytics Associate

Set up and implement a comprehensive analytics, data-informed process to inform client-facing, campaign strategies

  • Search for and cultivate relationship building on all social platforms, engage our client supporters across all social platforms, be on the lookout for opportunities to increase followers, you have an eye for up and coming online trends and can make recommendations on how to plug our clients missions into those trends. Prep and present monthly reports on both paid and organic social platforms analytics.
  • Analyze data, interpret and make informed recommendations to front-facing client leads. Writing, proofreading and copy editing of ads, event descriptions, case studies, etc.
  • Be in close communication with our web development team to manage, monitor and enhance SEO, manage campaign UTM integration and incorporate new technologies as they become available.
  • Social media account management for select client partners (report generation, ad monitoring, UTM integration, tracking, software integration research and implementation)
  • Past experience in campaign research and data analysis highly preferred
Available Benefits: 

We offer competitive, equitable pay rates, flexible hours and working location, and pathway to business ownership (equity – with annual profit-sharing).

  • Compensation: $65,100 annually  — Samara has a transparent pay scale with a 1:1.15 ratio between the highest-paid and lowest-paid employees. This is the starting salary for all new staff members, with pathways for pay increases with seniority and added member responsibilities.
  • Benefits: Samara prioritizes reducing healthcare costs for employees and provides a generous benefits package by covering: 100% of healthcare premiums and deductibles via a Health Reimbursement Arrangement. We also provide dental coverage through the USFWC. Full-time employees also receive floating holidays and 3 weeks vacation. We offer an optional FSA (Flexible spending account for medical expenses, a dependent care FSA and disability and accident insurance.
  • Hours: Full Time (30 hours/week)
  • Location: Remote – We are a distributed national organization with members and employees in California, D.C., Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, and Rhode Island. New staff are able to work from wherever they live.

 

What you’ll bring to the table:

Minimum qualifications:
  • Demonstrate a passion for Samara Collective’s mission and the work of our client partners; strong alignment with diversity, equity, and inclusion values
  • Ability – and preferably demonstrated experience in – social media content strategy,  paid content placement, analytics and data-forward processes
  • Has strong command of (or can quickly learn) Google Suite applications, Wrike (CRM and project management software), Meltwater and Airtable
  • Has strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills; able to interface with various and diverse stakeholders, groups and individuals
  • Possesses excellent time management and prioritization skills
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience
  • We aren’t selling products; we’re growing movements. Previous organizing experience strongly considered.
  • Writing and copy editing
  • Experience with the following platforms and applications is preferred:
    • General: GoogleSuite, Excel, Adobe Suite, Wrike
    • Digital organizing/lead generation: Spoke, MemberPress, MailChimp, Typeform, VAN/EveryAction, Action Network, Zapier
    • Social Media (Organic & Paid): Facebook (and FB business manager), Twitter, Instagram, SnapChat, Google Analytics, Buffer, Meltwater
    • Data: AirTable, Tableau, SEO
